A Word about Worrying

Read the Word:  “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6).

Apply the Word: This is really easier said than done. Do you sometimes wish that we were immune from worrying or that there was some sort of vaccine that will protect us against anxiety? We do know that excessive worrying can do much damage to an individual. It can lead to physical illness and a host of other undesirables. Paul tells the church to not worry about stuff.  He gives some great advice when he says to pray about it and make our request known to the Lord. Will you turn over to God that “thing” that’s causing you to worry? Share your anxiety with others too. This is helpful as when we share with God and others, we discover that we are not alone. And when we know that we are not alone, it gives us strength to carry on.
