Update #9 - Pastor Mathews Assisting the Elderly and Vulnerable at NGBF
Hello NGBF Family,
First, I hope each of you is doing well, and I can’t wait to see you all again. Be encouraged today as God’s Word says, “The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him“ (Nahum 1:7). What comforting words from Scripture. We certainly take refuge in God during these days and all days.
Next, to best serve the needs of our members we have implemented a new process to assist our elderly and most vulnerable members with underlying health conditions. If you are in need of a grocery item, hygiene supplies or prescription medications, please reach out to your Deacon. When you speak to your Deacon, please let him know the items you are in need of and we will go shopping for you and deliver the items to your front door. Thanks in advance for requesting only limited, essential items, as there is a shortage around the country on many things.
Under normal circumstances, the shopper will pick up your items and will pay for them upfront. The member will need to reimburse the church by giving online or mail in the check. The receipt will be in your bag. In an event an item (such as medicine) is very expensive, let your Deacon know and we will arrange to get the payment from you prior to picking up the medicine.
If you are unsure who your Deacon is or do not have contact information for him please contact our church office by phone or email:
(Church Secretary Contact - Cassi McGowan) or
(Pastor's Executive Assistant - Angela Surles). Both ladies are available to serve and assist our church family. Our 1828 Outreach Ministry has graciously stepped up to become your personal shopper during this time of need.
